I love the title in bold across the staircase, filling the cover. The staircase is seductive, leading to...we can only guess. I was gripped immediately with the 'talking' house (always slightly sinister to me). Bella is the one that intrigues me, I want to know her background, why she only only converse with the tablet. But I feel for Nikki having lost her child. And after all this, why isn't 17 Church Row safe for them?
