Well, the first and last lines of the prologue certainly grabbed my attention!: 'Father attempted to murder me once.' and 'Father must die for what he has done.'

We're introduced to the Rhodes family (Nikki, Ethan and six-year-old daughter, Bella) in the first chapter and I like the sound of the futuristic house in Church Row, a quiet Kensington cul-de-sac, that they're viewing and thinking of buying, which has an artificial intelligence virtual assistant called Alice.

After the death of her twin sister, Grace, in a tragic accident when they were four, Bella doesn't talk and communicates via her tablet, which she types into and it speaks for her.

It all sounds very intriguing, mysterious and chilling and I'm keen to find out more!

I like the look of the cover – it's quite striking and has been designed to look like a camera/CCTV screen by the looks of it. And the tagline 'Your home should be a safe place' seems to be a ominous hint of things to come!
