We read so much these days about AI, smart appliances around the home, but what if your home was controlled by an independent mind, a computer gone rogue? The story starts off as being an emotional regathering of a mother who's tragically lost a twin daughter with the other now mute. The move is meant to be a start of a new life, a fresh beginning for the parents and surviving twin...

But the house begins to take over...accidents, the death of the housekeeper and old friend...

Watched by the creator of the house computer we wonder what her agenda is.

But then we realise she is not controlling the incidents...she's not the one responsible for the kidnapping and the coercion...

As frightening as the book is the last two chapters could...should be taken as a warning...

HUGE error though re Attenborough - how come neither editor nor proof reader picked up on this?
