I love thrillers, with a particular weakness for Nordic Noir, and in 56 days Howard has hooked me right from the start, jumping straight into the action with much wit and a plot that feels fresh, and very, very real. Ciara and Oliver meet in a supermarket queue in Dublin and start dating the same week COVID-19 reaches Irish shores, and when lockdown is about to happen, Oliver suggests they move in together. What else could possibly go wrong? If the whole book is anything to go by the extract I read it, then I’m sure it will be so engrossing that I won’t be able to stop reading it. The cover design is clean and cleverly conveys its main themes. Can’t wait to put my hands on it.
