57 Days is a thrilling and captivating book that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

Set in Ireland during the current global crisis, 57 Days follows the story of Ciara and Oliver, and what seems as their lockdown romance. However, not all is as it seems and soon enough a body is found, but who is to blame?

Written in a non-linear style, the book goes back and forth between the past and present day, while simultaneously switching between each character's point of view. I felt like the author did this quite effectively as not only did it help in building suspense and intrigue, but it also helped in establishing a deeper connection with the characters. As such, as I got further into the book I found myself unable to put it down. I ended up really sympathising for the characters despite the events that were revealed throughout the book and found myself shocked at some of the revelations. While I don’t usually like to read books that are set so close to home, I felt like the author has written it well and created a truly captivating thriller.
