Having read The Nothing Man by Cathryn Ryan Howard I was immediately drawn to this book. I hoped it would be as good and was not disappointed. I was not really keen to read a book where the pandemic plays such a big part especially as it is far from over but in this story covid 19 is essential to the plot. Oliver and Ciara meet just as Covid reaches Ireland. When a two week lockdown is announced Oliver asks her to move into his flat. Both have reasons other than there attraction to each other to agree to this. From the beginning we know that one of them is killed but which one? The story is brilliantly written though can be a bit confusing as it moves back and forward in time. The same events are retold from the perspective of Oliver and Ciara with interesting and unexpected twists in the story. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a murder mystery.
