This book started out and I thought...' I know where this is heading'....and I kind of did, but boy were there lots of twists and turns to get there!
I thoroughly enjoyed Catherine's previous book The Nothing Man, and so was thrilled when Reader's First sent me an advance copy of this to read and review. I was not disappointed.
The book moved along at a good pace, and the two main characters Ciara and Oliver were well written, and their characters were developed nicely as the book progressed and their backstories as they were revealed added hugely to the plot.
Told in chapters which flitted across the 56 days of the title....and a little beforehand, the story telling was split between Ciara, Oliver and the police officers who discovered a body. All added a different element, even though on a few occasions Ciara and Oliver's parts were telling the same part of the story from their differing perspectives.
Really enjoyable would thoroughly recommend.
