I’m not a great series reader, but I’ve read the first two and, with the first look, I’m so happy to be back. I love the mixture of romance, upstairs-downstairs daily life, and how the politics of the time impacts on the hotel. This looks to carry on in the same way, with an upcoming marriage and the increasing threat of war. There’s a real warmth to these stories, which I’ll continue reading whether or not I receive a draw copy. I have to admit, though, the cover on this one doesn’t strike me in the way the earlier covers have.
