Is this the end of a trilogy or just the third in a series?

As 1938 sees great changes in Europe, it also brings lots of changes at The Buckingham Hotel. Several loose ends are resolved at the end of A Christmas to Remember and some of the main characters are leaving the hotel for good. I felt sad that this third book would be the natural end for all the characters connected to the hotel who have become familiar with and learned to love and respect. But Anton has left us dangling with The prospect of more in his last sentence ‘1939 is going to be the making of us’ and in the note to his readers he says he has the next instalment to write.
The focus of his stories is always the hotel and more precisely The Grand Ballroom. In this book he sets one chapter in Blackpool, to acknowledge the readers who are Strictly fans.
What an accomplished all rounder Anton is - dancer, presenter, singer and writer. He has many strings to his bow and manages to excel at all of them.
