Aww this was absolutely brilliant, was lovely to read about all the characters of the Buckingham again and catch up with their latest exploits and a festive instalment too.
But it lost none of its drama and intrigue, weddings, spies, love affairs, pregnancies and a whole host of other hotel shenanigans going on.
Not to mention the biggest event of 1938, the marriage of two of the Buckingham's most well loved characters, Nancy Nettleton and Raymond De Guise.
Then we get to say goodbye to some familiar faces and hope we see them again soon in the next chapter of grand hotel's saga.
Wonderfully written, history, drama, dancing all mixed up with a saga that is now spanning to reach with the next novel right into the war years of which we hear stirrings in this book.
I absolutely love this series and only got hooked on them through a reviewing company for which I am very grateful.
I enjoyed them so much I even bought the volume I was missing in the set.
Absolutely perfect for me as I adore historical / wartime fiction and would definitely have missed out on not reading these.
