I first discovered Anne Holt when I read '1222' and I loved the blend of modern Scandi Crime and classic Agatha Christie whodunit. This story has a very different feel and quite a complicated plot. I found it was a much slower pace than her other novels but it was filled with revenge, corruption, lies and scandal.

The book opens with Hege Morell a Norwegian skier who tests positive for a banned substance. Selma Falck, a former Olympic athlete and lawyer who has lost everything to gambling is then hired by Jan Morell, Hege's father to prove her innocence.

There is a lot of information relating to competitive skiing, which is necessary to understand a lot of the background, but as this is not something I have much interest in, I did find that it dominated the story for me.

Overall, I thought A Grave For Two was a decent story but unfortunately not one of my favourites.
