I really liked the cover of the book and thought the idea of the story would be good and although there were parts of the story I liked overall I found it didn't live up to my initial high expectations. This left me disappointed and somewhat deflated.
As I say I thought the story had potential for a group of individuals to be stuck on an island and the intrigue of war, death and ghosts added to the mix.
I did particularly like the characters of Donovan and Kate and the way they developed.
However, for me it seemed that the story came to a rushing finale - wouldn't be surprised if the author intends to write a follow up story. I would therefore not be adding this author on my "bucket list" of people to read.
