I thoroughly enjoyed this murder mystery set in a haunted house.One of the best stories I have read in years.The chemistry between Donovan and Kate is one of many highlights.The author has created a beautiful and chilling setting during world war one.There's plenty of surprises along the way.I loved the seance scenes that Lord Highmount has arranged to contact his two sons.The characters interaction during this is superb.Any fan of haunted house stories with some Agatha Christie mystery combined will absolutely love all the twists and turns presented in this classic.I highly recommend it and do hope W.C. Ryan can do a spinoff story one day in the same era with Kate and Donovan.That would be wonderful.
