I enjoyed the first impression read for this book, however there is a lot of references made to previous books and so I feel it would be better appreciated by someone who knew more about the earlier books.
The main character Selma is hard to grasp without the previous knowledge but the story is well written and interesting so I would definitely consider going back and doing a bit of catch up for this one.
