I don't usually like going in to a series several books in, and after reading this extract i stand by that. It references several times things that have happened before and these have me intrigued enough to have to check out the first two books before going any further with this one.
I like the cover design, perfect Scandi Noir setting and colour theme, would definitely attract my eye on the shelf, especially if the first two books are similarly designed.
As to this extract, i am intrigued how the section about the drunk woman paying off the man to get his sperm will come back into the story. Then there is the question left of why the politican was killed, for someone seemingly uncontroversial she must have been involved in something secretive that got her killed.
So i'm off now to buy the first two books in this series as the main character the series is about does pique my interest.
