A Memory For Murder actually ticks all the boxes I'd usually have when it comes to finding the right book. There's a mystery, there's crime, there are secrets around every corner. However, I just couldn't get into this.
I have another Anne Holt book sitting on my to-read shelf, and after starting Memory For Murder, I just can't bring myself to try another one of Anne's novels for a while. I'm not sure whether it was a timing thing, or whether it was down to just being uninterested or simply because I hadn't read the others in the franchise, but I couldn't gel with the characters, I couldn't get sucked into the story. It didn't appeal to me on days when I really wanted to read.
I definitely think I am going to pick it back up again in the future, but for now... I have to mark this as DNF.
