I was looking forward to reading this book as it my favourite genre and I like Scandi stories and Anne Holt is a new author to me. However, I was very disappointed, in fact I don't think I would have finished it if I did not have to write a review. It was so slow and at times didn't seem to be going anywhere.I felt on occasions that it dragged along and she was using dozens of words just to fill the page Maybe it was because I haven't read other books by this author and wasn't totally clear what was going on a lot of the time, perhaps I should start at book one and see if that helps, although I think that I am unlikely to rush out and buy another book by the author. The characters didn't appeal to me in any way, particularly the lead character. In fact most of the characters were frankly forgettable. The fact that I was glad when I finished reading it wasn't because it was so good but it was such a relief to get to the end.
