This is the second of these Anne Holt books that I have read and it was alright but not as good as the other.
Lawyer turned Private Investigator Selma is shot and wounded in a sniper attack that kills one of her friends who is a junior MP. Everyone thinks Selma is the target but then2 other people connected to the MP are found dead in suspicious circumstances.
Selma sets out to find those responsible and avenge her friends death. This puts her in danger again not realising the answer may be closer than she thinks.
This is written by a former police officer who was Norway's Minister of Justice and she brings her knowledge of the law into all her novels.
I enjoyed this and its a well written novel so well translated that its difficult to realise it wasn't actually written I. English.
A Memory For Murder is a good addition to the Scandi Noir genre of crime fiction but I have moved on!
