Intriguing and product of much research

I found the Introduction in which the author relates the history of poison as a murder weapon from earliest times to the present day absolutely fascinating. It's clearly the product of much research and reading on the subject. I fear, however, the case which is the main subject of the book might turn out to be much less interesting than the Medicis or the Borgias. However, for fans of true crime, I'm sure this will make an interesting read.
