I was intrigued by the subtitle of this, schoolboy poisoner, I hadn't heard of Graham Young before so wasted to learn more about him.
The whole story was rather a complex case and rather in a way motiveless as Graham admitted his stepmother wasn't abusive so it seems as if the poisoning of her, his first victim was pure curiosity as to the effects of poison.
Then just like other serial killers starting out on their macabre careers he just went on to do bigger and more outrageous crimes.
Confusing and eventually fooling the officials he ended up released, obtained work and carried on using his colleagues as his next victims which over time was ultimately his downfall.
The author did a great job of tracing his life from childhood, to adulthood and his crimes along the way.
This was such a good read, a very unbiased and factual account of a comparatively little known murderer and an insight into his life and crimes.
An enjoyable and informative read and a little gem for those into true crime.
