Surprising and Horrific, But A Struggle To Get Into...
I'd like to start this by saying thank you to Readers First for sending me a copy of this to read and review. Unfortunately, I have added this to my Did Not Finish pile.
I am a sucker for true crime, and I always enjoy things that highlight the dark and disturbing truths of some of the most heinous crimes. However, I really struggled to get into and finish, A Passion For Poison. It's an interesting case, for sure, there's a lot to unpack in it and you can definitely sink your teeth into it, but this just wasn't my cup of tea which made it difficult for me to truly get enticed into.
I'm unsure whether it was because I wasn't educated on the case, or whether it was because of the time in which the murder took place - but this definitely didn't grip me as much as I thought it would. I think I'll definitely come back to it in the future and maybe give it a second go, but right now - this book just isn't for me.
