Not the book to develop an interest in historical fiction

This book is very well written and clearly well researched. The writer has put a lot of effort into the start of this book. However I'm not a fan of historical fiction and this was not the book to develop my interest in this genre. It's likely due to the fact that the subject matter doesn't interest me. The cover sadly didn't peak my interest either as I found it boring. The cover does however suit the plot. For those who do like this subject matter this will clearly be a good and interesting read.
