Tense and gripping from the start
This book had caught me straight off with the cover- eye catching and stark, definitely one I would pick up from the shelf.
This book is tense from the start with a meeting between two royal cousins, circling each other like cats, neither wanting to give anything away.
It moves to introduce us to, I assume, the main protagonist Wilde, American Professor of history but with possibly a sideline in espionage. I already want to know more about this man and see how the story develops. There were two big wows in the first few pages and I can’t wait to read more, I suspect this will be seriously good!
