I found this book to have lots of action but it didn’t seem to hold my attention.
The plot was based across many different locations and the characters are not very believable. It’s quite well written and the prose readable.

This is a novel based in the 1940’s during the war. There’s a secret meeting in Sweden between the Kings brother and his German cousin.
Cambridge spy, Tom Wilde, an American lecturer is sent to investigate a plane crash in the north of Scotland. Unfortunately the Kings brother was killed in the crash along with the crew. There seems to be many inconsistencies in the official version of the accident.
Tom follows the clues to solve the mystery.

This is the fifth book in the Tom Wilde series but you don’t need to have read the previous books in the series and it can be read as a stand-alone novel.

The prepublication publicity made me look forward to reading this novel but in my opinion it doesn’t live up to it.
