This book has an exciting tale to tell and follows tom Wilde on his 5th book. Though I have not read the first few books the depth to which the writer goes to portray themes of wartime Britain, mystery and death is of merit. The factor of this series to be entertaining even as stand alone books to me is an important factor to have to make more accessible and I intend to read the entire series.

The way the author has been able to combine very finely events of a real time to that of fiction which is admirable in any way he is an author to truly admire.
Set in Scotland, Sweden, Suffolk, London and Cambridge as Wilde continues his activities for the American services whilst facing unseen and unknown foes.

It was engrossing from start to finish taking you back to the era with ease by making it feel so real and vivid as if you were in the middle of the war times. It was easy to read and follow and I would indeed recommend to anyone interested in history and thrillers of adventure and mystery.
