From my first impression I wanted to read more. I was fortunate to win this book in the Readers First Raffle so my first impression was realized before the book was officially released.

Like the previous book I read I couldn't put it down and with the National Lockdown due to COVID 19 that gave me the excuse.

The story based around a true happening during the second world war was captivating with many twists and turns to keep the reader guessing what was going on. The two central characters, Tom Wilde and Harriet Hartwell played such diverse traits you wondered why they got thrown together in this mystery. As the story unfolded you realized that each was needed to uncover all the clues necessary to get to the bottom of the mystery.

At times you could never guess with the individuals they interacted with were friend or foe making it a definite page turner.

Having not realized that this is the fifth book in a series I definitely want to read the others. Readers first seems to be a very good way to experience different authors who you probably would never had read.
