oh no. I really wanted to like this book but unfortunately, it just was not for me. I think the book was well researched and had a very interesting premise but I just could not get into the story so I dnfed it about halfway through. I do think other people would like this story but for me, the plot was a little dry and I couldn't bring myself to like any of the characters.
This book is the fifth in a series but I think you can read this without reading any of the others like I did and still understand. however, I think I would have enjoyed this book more if I had read the other books before it.
overall, I enjoyed the writing style of the author but I just could not get into the book - I do think that anyone who likes reading historical mystery could really enjoy this book so I would recommend it to others but personally, I did not love it. :(((((((
