This initially isn’t my type of book, but I was glad to receive it and went into it with an open mind. The book really delivers on the cover although you’re not supposed to judge a book by it’s cover. It’s good to know that the cover wasn’t misleading. I liked all the characters in this story, although some of the side characters felt a bit glossed over. Of course they’re side characters, so you don’t really tend to focus too much on them, but it would have been nice to see them have a little background and a bit more of a backbone, a bit more 3D in the narrative. That being said, the main character really stood out and I really liked the narrative style. For that alone, I would recommend this book to other readers in this genre. This type of narrative lends itself perfectly to tell such a beautiful story. I felt the ending was perfect and I was upset to found I reached the end.
