As a general rule, I'm not really a fan of books set in the world wars. There have been so many written that it feels a little overdone. However, Jean Fullerton's style of writing always makes the war kind of just the backdrop to the characters. The characters are always full of life and interesting. It makes it more enjoyable to read.
