I was actually a little conflicted with how I felt about A Ration Book Wedding mostly because I went into reading it not expecting that it would be connected to A Ration Book Daughter which I read first (which was probably my first mistake) but that said, I do think Jean Fullerton did a great job with this book as she did with A Ration Book Daughter, although I confess that I prefer A Ration Book Daughter. I was conflicted with how I felt towards our main character, Francesca as I didn't really root for her and Charlie at all. I think I preferred Count Leonardo. I just didn't like that it was since Charlie's marriage had broken down that he now suddenly wanted to be with Francesca. I did like the setting of the story though, especially with the backdrop of the war. It was a pretty solid piece of historical fiction and I do think I would read it again!
