Having read several books in the Ration Book series I was interested to find out what happens in A Ration Book Wedding. I have to say that I was disappointed in the story and found the events very predictable. This time the story centres around Charlie Brogan who has been invalided back to England with a shoulder wound. He is anxious to be discharged from the hospital to meet his son for the first time and be reunited with his wife. His feelings for Stella change very quickly when he finds out that she is spending her nights stripping in a club and loving every minute of it. The story then focusses on Francesca who has loved him for many years but he has always thought of her as a friend. It all wraps up very quickly at the end.
