Not too sure
Hard to break down this one , the prologue feels like it was written by someone else , I didn't like the dropping in of the Norse words , was almost ready to give up on it there and then.
The first chapter follows on immediately where the prologue finished , not a lot of books do that , they leave you guessing till later in the book.
Too many characters introduced right at the start , don't know if it's just me , but that many people getting thrown into the mix early on just leaves you trying to remember who is who.
Overall , I probably wouldn't read this book based on the extract here , for the above reasons , pity , as I like the Vikings and Norse mythology in general , but this book I feel would just get bogged down.
