I don't know where to start with this. Krystal Sutherland is amazing! I read Our chemical hearts and loved it, A semi definitive list of nightmares is by far my favourite book which has made it to my bookcase a.k.a the books that i will keep forever.

This book appealed to me because i was curious about a list of worst nightmares and what would make it onto such a list, i figured it would be a funny light hearted book touching upon a few serious subjects, i was right except for the light hearted part.

The story was intense and made me teary eyed (must be onion infused pages) it is a book so many people can relate to, from sneaking out to parties and generally being a teenager, the nostalgia of being young and seemingly fearless but actually realising you went through your childhood dragging your feet, crying and holding on to your best friend through the scariest moments of self discovery but laughing in the face of your fears.

I love books that are open and honest about mental health, it isn't something that should be hidden away or talked about in hushed tones in private, this story really tugged at my emotions, it made me cry, laugh and cuddle my teddy a bit tighter in the scary places.

I don't want to give any spoilers away so i won't talk about the plot but damn, Esther, you go girl!
