Good for young adult fiction lovers
I thought that this book could soon become a favourite for young adult fiction lovers, who enjoy the theme of romance. Although the writing and literary choices made, made the book feel a little simplistic it made for a fast read which I rocketed through quickly.
From the very beginning of the book we can see that the main character Esther Soler lives with an unconventional family, which made me further wonder how they impacted her childhood and adult understanding of the world around her.
I also enjoyed the informal writing style, as it made the main characters sound much more modern and relatable.
Although the plotline felt a little predictable, the extract was an enjoyable, easy read with quirky characters who had a solid and understandable backstory. I would recommend to those who enjoy young adult fiction novels with a focus on romance.
