The concept in itself piqued my interest and I had heard some good reviews. In some parts, the story was really funny. For example, the geese part had me laughing. Despite this, the rest of the novel was disappointing. I did not like the main character or the romance aspect and usually, I love romance novels.
The characters were not very interesting. Eugene was the only character who I was moderately interested in. I think it is a shame that the main character was fairly boring because I think if she was more interesting the story would be too.
The best part of the novel was the final 100 pages. I liked the fact we saw all the characters develop. I would have liked something less predictable but it did feel like a solid ending.
