A Cynical Christmas How-To

This is a delightful little palm-sized book - with an adorable cover sleeve - that takes a satirical look at the problems with being a millennial during the most wonderful time of the year.

Filled with listicles, observations and short 'call outs' this is an easy read to pass the time on Christmas Day. There are some slightly crass moments - the liberal sprinkling of hashtags throughout the copy and the occasional 'obvs' thrown in brackets next to a point, but I guess all this adds to the persona of the book.

There are some useful points in the text; how to tell if wrapping paper is really recyclable, a cynical look at 'celebrity' endorsed gifts and a suggestion of what to avoid watching over the festive period, but over-all the book bills itself as a stocking filler or Secret Santa gift and that is exactly what this is. There is a very cute appendix at the back though...
