A Snowflakes Guide to Christmas by Dave Skinner is another book that I have just read - post Christmas! When I received this book I thought it would be a funny, thought provoking guide to Christmas. However, I found it difficult to really become involved in this book. I started reading it and discovered that it did not interest me and I did not want to continue. Dave Skinner is a comedian and I expected to be entertained but unfortunately I wasn't. Also at the present time, due to Covid 19, most of the population are unable to entertain and see friends and family, so the book did not resonate with me and I assume lots of other people. This is not Dave Skinner's fault - in a different year I feel this book would have been very successful, however due to lockdown, shielding and various tiers I feel that A Snowflakes Guide to Christmas tells a story of how Christmas used to be.
