I was hooked within the first few chapters. I was in a reading slump until I started this book. It seamlessly has two viewpoints, one of Caroline who lives a glamourous life which looks perfect from the outside but in reality her husband has been keeping secrets from her which leads her to having a “one night stand” with Aidan, which then takes us to his side of the story.
Whilst reading this book, I had no idea who to believe, they both had different accounts of what was happening and I was adamant that Aidan had some sort of mental health issues and the author truly had me believing this until I continued to read on.
This book has so many twists and turns and had me guessing the whole way through. Around 30 pages from the end I had an idea of what was going to happen and I was right but everything prior to that, I had no idea! This author has some skills and it has made me add the rest of their books onto my wish list so I can read more.
This book was a 5 star for me. I didn’t want to put it down, I went to sleep thinking about and woke up thinking about it. I was telling my fiancé throughout the day, I wonder if this will happen or that will happen. I was HOOKED! Thoroughly enjoyable read.
