I listened to the audiobook version of this novel.

Caroline seems to have it all, a husband, daughter and a beautiful beach house she's just built.
She hosts a party to relaunch her career as well as showcase her new home. Her husband turns up with another woman and from there everything seems to fall apart for Caroline. She seeks comfort and revenge in the arms of a handsome younger man called Aidan. He quickly becomes obsessed with her.

Caroline notices a lot of red flags about Aidan's behaviour yet continues to see him which I found very annoying, surely at her age she should know better?!
I didn't like her as a character and didn't really like any of the other characters, I found them to be really vapid and couldn't relate to them.

However, the last 20% or so of this book is much better and has a twist! I did guess part of it quite early on so that was quite predictable but nevertheless enjoyed the rest.

I found it seemed to end very abruptly too.

Overall, the book was OK and would be a good holiday read. Easy reading with enough to keep you interested enough but not totally gripping I didn't think.
