The writing so far in this novel is very pacy and the narrator is cynical and sarcastic. Setting up the beginning of the novel works well but as we settle into the story I hope for more detail.

The main character and narrator seems very confiding but this is one of those novels where you're not sure who to trust. I think this will be the novel's strength. At first glance the narrator seems very spoilt but as we read on our sympathy and empathy grow. She may have money but it's been hard won. Other characters are emerging. I like the sister very much amidst all this snobbery. She's honest. Or at least she seems to be.

The writer has tapped into what many fear, that what we value can be taken away and all is not as we think.
Intruiging.
