The front cover sets the scene and draws you in. The book is full of suspense, you never know what is going to happen next.
I felt myself initially rooting for Catherine who gets mixed up in events but the book has many twists and turns and you find yourself not sure who to believe.
Initially I wasn’t sure about Aide ‘s character, he seemed too full on too soon. Did he just want Catherine’s money and lifestyle? Or was he genuine in his feelings towards her?
I found the dual perspective refreshing, as the reader you find yourself chopping and changing who you believe to be truthful.
I did wish we got more of an insight into Jason’s perspective.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. The psychological thriller genre is one I really enjoy and this book kept me guessing right to the end.
The book could easily translate to a film or Netflix series and would no doubt be a huge success
