I haven’t read the first in this series, but I feel that it doesn’t really matter as this seems to be a book in its own right. I love that it is trying to portray the Queen as a normal person (referring to her grandchildren and their conversations as I suppose grandparents do) and also as the Queen with her royal duties (posing for a bust). Mix in a little mystery solving of how her painting ended up not being opposite her bedroom door anymore, I think is a recipe for a potentially funny book.
