Another superb crime fiction story by S J Bennett. This is the second book in the series. The book covers are stylish and eye-catching and it is instantly clear that they are part of a series. Although this is themed around Queen Elizabeth and the houses of the Royal family that is just the thread of the story. Rozie Oshodi is more than the Queen's Assistant Private Secretary she is also the Queen's sidekick like Watson to Sherlock or Hastings to Poirot. Rozie is strong and reliable, discreet and clever. A fresh crime in the Palace means discretion and keeping out of the papers and Rozie is good at doing this while her and the Queen solve another mystery together. Strong female leads, good storylines these are a wonderful read. I thoroughly enjoy these books and eagerly await the publication of the next book which is due to be released August 2022.
