I really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect chilled out read for wintry evenings. A murder at the palace prompts a series of events, and Her Majesty herself gets involved in solving the case. Rozie is a great character, strong and intelligent, and I loved reading about all of the various relationships between palace stuff. This reminded me a lot of Richard Osman's 'Thursday Murder Club' - a comedic murder mystery, not especially challenging but very fun to read!

Only criticism is I found some of the dialogue a little forced and I didn't always find the Queen as 'believable' as the other characters, although the author is respectful in his descriptions.

I would recommend this book to anyone who fancies a page-turner that is, at times, laugh-out-loud funny and certainly well-written. I'll look forward to reading the next installment!
