Crime novel with a royal twist
A three dog problem is an entertaining book, with lots of plot twists and turns. A good crime story with Buckingham Palace as a very exotic backdrop and the Queen's personality and sense of humour shines through. The supporting cast add to the reality of the story, so many different characters that make for a well rounded and interesting story.
Rozie Oshodi is a very believable solid character, exactly the sort of person you would imagine the Queen would employ , loyal and efficient and full of discretion. It is nice to see a strong and stable female lead as the protagonist of a book. The multi -faceted story line kept the adventure moving along at a good pace and kept the suspense going until the end. Unlike with other crime novels the clues arrive but the full impact of the motive is saved for a final reveal at the end of the book.
I am looking forward to reading the next story in this series.
