I really liked reading the first book in this series (Her Majesty the Queen Investigates) and was looking forward to reading this second one too and hoping it was just as good. I was definitely not disappointed, it was lovely to read about all the royal households again. I think it's really clever how the author has interwoven the fictional murder mystery story and how it is solved, against the real life events that the Queen would have attended and were going on around the world at the time. I liked seeing the character development of some of the key characters that also appeared last time, such as Sir Simon and Rozie and I was glad to see they were back in this book.

It's a well written mystery that definitely keeps you guessing and trying to work out 'who dunnit' until the very end. This is definitely a series I'm going to keeping a close eye on and I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.
