I have to say that I had high expectations for this book, and they were met.
The cover is simply beautiful. It would attract any readers of fantasy novels, such as myself. The title itself ‘A Throne of Swans’, already has that old fantasy feel to it (kingdoms, castles etc). And I absolutely love that.
The writing style is well put and flows incredibly well. I think that the writing style was one of the best I’ve ever reviewed. Simply so descriptive and captivating, it was almost too much to handle. There’s no other way to describe the writing style other than beautiful.
The plot itself seems planned and I think it’ll work well. I cannot comment too much on the plot as I have only read a small extract.
However, I felt like there was a lack of personality in the characters. None of them had a distinguished personality to make it easy to learn their mannerisms. I hope the authors develop on this.
Other than that, this was an exciting novel that I would be looking forward to read.
