This was absolutely amazing! A little savage, a little heartbreaking and very original. This book had the sense of a traditional fairytale but with more identifiable traits in the characters, It's a fantasy kingdom inspired by Swan Lake, where there are people who can shapeshift into a bird and fly, and ones who can't. So, the flightless serve the ones who can fly. the shapeshifting bit was really interesting and when you read how the author has portrayed it you will be amazed by her ability to describe it in such a magical way. I picked up this book at the right time when I needed a bit of escapism with an easy-going book, and honestly, I was not disappointed, not even close to it. it had given me a place between its pages to go along with all the characters on this beautiful journey filled with emotions and action. absolutely loved it, a must read!!
