I thought that this book was really absorbing and interesting throughout! This book was set in scotland in around about the 1950s I think.
The main character Caroline and Alasdair move to a castle which is in the middle of no where. Caroline is basically looking after their baby all alone and is finding it difficult in itself as well with her judge mother in law. In order to not be so bored someone asks her to sort out some documents belonging to her husbands side of the family in which she finds something very interesting out!
Caroline wants to find out the truth so badly that she gets a bit obsessive about this story.
Later a body is found in the grounds of the castle which resparks her curiosity about the story she founds and also about the body!
This book was overall a very nice read and i would definitely recommend! Something that was also fitting was the cover of the book!
