I love a book that goes back in time and finds out about the past. This book was so educational - attitudes, behaviours and lifestyles all discussed - linking to present day families. Great stuff!

The settings are breathtaking - the mystery behind the missing family member really is a puzzle, I didn’t predict the way the story unravels.
I find it so hard to read about the prejudice, but know it was so real at the time- and is still present today. Peoples stories must be told so that the same mistakes are not made repeatedly and so that people are better to each other.
